Established by Thomas Paton Davidson back in 1965 and based in Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders, T.P. Davidson & Son has grown from a small scale jobbing joiner’s business to a large-scale housebuilder and renovation expert.
The evolution of the company comes from the vision and leadership of Thomas' son Derek. Derek spent over 40 years at the helm, notably adding the bespoke joinery element to the company's repertoire and developed the workshop into a modern base from which the company can operate.
With over 50 years of experience in the construction industry, we never shy away from private or commercial projects where timber is a focus or a requirement.
A 3rd generation Joiner & Carpenter within this family run business, Grant Davidson has mastered all the skills required to run the company. In the 20+ years since Grant began his apprenticeship, he has gained a wide range of knowledge and skills which he now implements into his modern style of business management.
Collectively, our team has well over 100 years of experience having covered thousands of projects both large and small. We pride ourself on ensuring all members of staff have the level of skill required to carry out high-end bespoke work and these high standards are passed on to our younger members of staff through detailed training and hands-on experience.

We select all our timber by hand, making sure it's sourced sustainably and meets our high standards of colour, grain and durability.
